From organic farming to small-batch CBD — quality inputs, careful process, USA-made products.
From farm to formula
Our path into natural products began in the early 2010s, when a shift toward organic food led us into growing produce. In 2013 we launched Salem Farms as first-generation farmers — using methods like aquaponics, intensive gardening, and companion planting with plant quality as the priority.
In 2018 we began researching industrial hemp and CBD with the same standard we applied to crops: know the inputs, control the process, and test what actually works. With so many supply chains in the industry, we chose to develop our own formulations rather than rely on unknowns.
After months of R&D and trials with family, friends, and volunteer testers, The Farmacy brand launched on November 23, 2018, with a public product line following in 2020.
Hemp on the farm
In 2019 we grew a high-CBD industrial hemp crop alongside a smaller produce program for our community. That harvest supported a quality distillate with CBD and other cannabinoids and terpenes. Environmentally conscious growing practices and third-party testing for contaminants remain part of how we think about product integrity.
Today our products use high-quality ingredients and hemp-derived CBD, with small-batch production and a focus on formulas people will actually keep using — no harsh burn, no strong smell.
